The Ministry told APA that Nakhchivan City Police Department conducted an investigation on this incident. It was revealed that the office of the public union was not attacked, it was only a domestic incident.
Co-founder of the public union, Ilgar Nasibov has been meeting and drinking with his close friend, Chairman of Civil Solidarity Party of the Nakhchivan AR, Farid Asgarov in the office for a long time.
They got drunk in the office late on August 21. Then, the dispute between Ilgar Nasibov and Farid Asgarov turned into a brawl.
Farid Asgarov said in his explanation that the cause of the brawl was Ilgar Nasibov’s indecent and abusive expressions against his family members.
They inflicted serious injuries on each other.
Nakhchivan resident Farid Asgarov was detained by the police. Administrative reviews of the investigation are underway.
