The Interior Ministry’s press service told APA that as a result of the special operation conducted by employees of Main Drug Enforcement Department and Shirvan Region Police Office, the person, who sold drugs, has been detained: “Information was received that Shirvan resident, 36-year-old Rahim Garayev sells drugs in his own grocery. He was caught red-handed by the police. Investigations found out that along with food and other products, Rahim Garayev sold marijuana in his own grocery for a long time. Rahim Garayev said that he obtained dried marijuana from unfamiliar persons, wrapped them in separate packs, hid under the counter and sold them to customers for AZN 10-20. He was arrested while selling one of these packs.”
During the inspection at the grocery, several packs of marijuana, a lot of Kazbek cigarettes, the money generated from the sale and other evidences were found and seized.
This grocery is located near the secondary school #10 in Shirvan.
Criminal case has been launched into the fact, investigation is underway to find the source of drugs.
