Ali Rahimov, one year and four months old, was in critical condition when he was brought to the hospital around 5:00AM.
Despite the necessary medical aid provided to him, the baby died about three hours later.
The body was sent to the Lankaran district department of the Health Ministry's Forensic Medical Examination and Pathological Anatomy Union and handed over to his family after external examination.
The hospital said the baby was suffering acute respiratory viral infection, bilateral bronchopneumonia, acute pulmonary edema, acute cardiovascular failure, and third-degree respiratory failure as well as the 3rd degree.
The district prosecutor’s office is investigating the fact.
