Spokesman for the Prosecutor General’s Office Eldar Sultanov told APA that all necessary investigation measures are currently being taken in this regard: “As reported earlier, the criminal case was launched into the death of Rafig Tagi on November 19, 2011 in accordance with article 120.1 and an investigative group of specialized prosecuting and police officers was established to determine the offender. Though all necessary and urgent investigation measures were taken and search operations were carried out during the preliminary investigation, the consideration of the case had been suspended due to the failure to determine the offender.
But the Ministry of National Security and the Interior Ministry have already been instructed to determine the offender and necessary investigation measures are currently underway. The consideration of the case will be resumed when all the cases caused the suspension are eliminated and it becomes necessary to carry out procedures that are possible without the participation of the offender.
