Avaz Zeynalli visits Alley of Honor, Gurban Mammadov welcomes pardon order - <span style="color: red;">PHOTOSESSION

She said Avaz Zeynalli has visited the graves of Ilham and Fariza, two martyrs of 20 January. “He later on went to the Alley of Honor to pay respect to the graves of Shikhali Gurbanov, Hasan bay Zardabi, Heydar Aliyev, Zarifa Aliyeva, Seyid Jafar Pishawari, and Abulfaz Elchibey”.

Meanwhile, attorney Vakil Gurbanov expressed gratitude on his Facebook account to President Ilham Aliyev, journalists, and international organizations protecting his rights:

“I highly appreciate dear Mr President Ilham Aliyev’s order which brought about restoration of our rights that had been violated. I’d like to say “thank you”, and I regard it as a step toward national unity and national reconciliation,” Mammadov wrote.

Note that, the Baku Court on Grave Crimes had sentenced Avaz Zeynalli to 9 years in prison, while Gurban Mammadov had been sentenced to 3 years in prison by the Nasimi District Court.

Both persons were released under the last pardon order signed on Dec.29 by President Ilham Aliyev.
