A road traffic accident resulting in the death of schoolchildren occurred in Lankaran, APA’s southern bureau.
The incident was recorded on the Lankaran-Lerik highway in the Shovu village of the Lankaran district.
A moving Mercedes vehicle hit siblings Gulay Alizade, born in 2017, and Ramid Aliyev, born in 2016, who were going to school. Both were hospitalized in serious condition at the Lankaran district central hospital. Despite this, it was not possible to save their lives.
The bodies have been handed over to the relevant authorities.
Note that the Mercedes vehicle that caused the accident went off the road after losing control following the crash.
An investigation is underway regarding the incident.
