Fire broke out in a multi-storey residential building on Asad Ahmadov street, Yasamal district, Baku city, APA reports.
The forces of the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Special Risk Rescue Service were immediately involved in the fire in a multi-storey residential building.
According to the information given by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as a result of the prompt intervention of the forces of the Ministry, the fire that occurred in the electrical shaft of the seventeen-story residential building was extinguished in a short time without allowing it to spread to the apartments.
The residents in the building were evacuated as part of security measures.
4 emergency medical teams were involved in the area. According to preliminary information, 12 people were given medical assistance on the spot by the emergency medical team with the diagnosis of smoke poisoning. Two people were evacuated to the Toxicology Department of the Clinical Medical Center with the diagnosis of smoke poisoning.
