Yesterday, at 10:15 p.m., when the electric locomotive belonging to "Azerbaijan Railways" JSC (ADY) was moving in the direction of Gobustan-Sangachal, two people suddenly stepped in front of the train, ADY told APA-Economics.
According to the information, although emergency braking was performed by the driver, the incident was unavoidable due to the short distance.
"We regret to inform you that even though the emergency team was immediately called to the scene by the station employees, both persons died of severe injuries. We offer our deepest condolences to the families of both persons," the information states.
