Azerbaijani State Border Service (SBS) successfully intercepted an attempt to smuggle narcotics, psychotropic substances, and their precursors into the country, as part of ongoing efforts to ensure reliable border protection and combat illegal drug trafficking, SBS told APA.
The incident occurred in the service area of the “Horadiz” border detachment, where an attempt to cross the state border from Iran into Azerbaijan was prevented.
Following a border search and operational measures, a total of 13.6 kilograms of marijuana was seized.
