Cooperation with the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Tajikistan in the field of fighting against crime is successfully continued, the General Prosecutor's Office told APA.
The request of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Tajikistan to bring Jalilov Bobocon Abdurakhimovich, a citizen of the Republic of Tajikistan, born in 1962, to criminal responsibility was granted by the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
In May 2024, Jalilov Bobojon Abdurakhimovich, who was declared an international wanted man accused of committing fraudulent acts, was identified and detained in Azerbaijan, and a pretrial detention measure was chosen for him.
According to the Convention dated 07.10.2002 "On legal assistance and legal relations in civil, family and criminal cases", a decision was made to extradite the accused, and the latter was handed over to the competent authority of the Republic of Tajikistan, accompanied by a special convoy of the Ministry of Justice, Penitentiary Service.
