During October, 75 foreigners living illegally in Baku and Sumgait cities were detained by police officers, APA reports citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to report, as a result of search operations in the cities of Baku and Sumgait during October by the General Passport, Registration and Migration Department, jointly with the Anti-Illegal Migration Department and the Sumgait City Police Department, 75 foreign citizens, who were living in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan, without documents granting them the right to stay or live, as well as living without registration, not complying with the registration rules for their place of residence and residence when moving from one place to another, and refusing to leave after the end of their stay or residence in the Republic of Azerbaijan, were detained.
According to the relevant article of the Code of Administrative Offenses, an administrative offense protocol was compiled against those persons and they were handed over accordingly to relevant authorities.
