Biometric visa has not been applied in Embassy of Great Britain in Azerbaijan yet, the embassy told the APA. The process delays because of technical reasons. Biometric visas will be given from March. The aim of this visa is to prevent the visit of persons that violated the laws of Great Britain and illegal migration. At present, this visa is applied in more than ten countries of the world. Except Belgium and Netherlands, all the counties that included in the list are African and Asian countries. This visa will be applied in Azerbaijan and Russia, also in the other countries of the world till the end of 2007.
The embassy also noted that every year nearly 5-6 000 people appeal to go to Great Britain from Azerbaijan, they are rarely rejected. /APA/
