Lunar eclipse to occur from night on June 15 to June 16

From night on June 15 to June 16, lunar eclipse will occur, director of Shamakhy Astrophysical Observatory named after Nasiraddin Tusi of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Eyyub Guliyev told APA. He said that lunar eclipse would start at 23.22 and end at 03.02. During 1 hour 40 minutes of that time the moon will be completely covered. During this time, the earth will cast a shadow on the moon. The earth will be in the middle of the moon and the sun. Guliyev said that this process will be visible from Azerbaijan clearly. Lunar eclipse will not cause discomfort for people: “It is a simple natural event. Solar and lunar eclipse occurs 6-7 times in a year. It has no influence on people”.
