Mother of Said Dadashbeyli, charged in coup: â€œI have secretly met with Matthew Bryza for 2 timesâ€

APA reports that, in her speech, the committeeâ€™s chairperson and Dadashbeyliâ€™s mother Gatiba Garayeva said that her son was arrested by the Ministry of National Security in 2007: â€œSaid Dadashbeyli was sentenced to 14 years imprisonment. But he is innocent. We have been waiting for my sonâ€™s release for 4 years. As though, Dadashbeyli attempted for coup. I have secretly met with US ambassador to Azerbaijan Matthew Bryza for 2 times. These meetings were not held in the embassyâ€™s building. I informed the ambassador about all lawlessness which we had facedâ€.

Gang member Rasim Karimovâ€™s mother Irada Karimova said that her son was in Hajj pilgrimage during the incident: â€œAt that time my son phoned me and asked why Said and others were arrested. My son was engaged in business with Said Dadashbeyli. He was fluently speaking in 5 languages. If he was guilty, he could run from there. But he was arrested here on his arrival. How can a man participate in coup if he is in Hajj pilgrimage? 5 of detainees were seriously ill before their detainmentâ€.

Samir Gojayevâ€™s spouse Durdane Ismayilova said that the complaints of 3 charged persons was accepted by the European Court: â€œW have sent complaint to the European Court in April concerning the verdict against Said Dadashbeyli, Samir Gojayev and other one. They have already responded our appealâ€.
