Official statement issued on armed incident in front of wedding palace in Azerbaijanâ€™s capital

Baku. Habil Suleymanzadeh â€“ APA. Baku Prosecutorâ€™s Office and Baku Main Police Office issued a joint statement on the crime committed in the capital two days ago, APA reports quoting the website of Baku Prosecutorâ€™s Office. The statement says that unidentified persons fired into the air from Winchester rifle in front of Kral wedding palace in Shamsi Rahimov street, 2, Narimanov district of Baku on June 6, 2011. As a result of it, the windows of the wedding palace were broken.

Narimanov district police office immediately sent an operation group to the site, two cartridge-cases were found on the site, Narimanov district police launched criminal case on the fact basing on the initial materials on article 221.3 (deliberate hooliganism with the use of weapon) of the Criminal Code.

Investigation found out that ex-prisoners â€“ Dunyamaliyev Senan Asif, Agalarov Javid Zakir and Safiyev Bahman Suleyman disturbed Abbasov Shahriyar Shahlar, who was training his students in Neftchi training center, when the latter expressed his disappointment Senan Dunyamaliyev offered Shahriyar Abbasov to meet and â€œtalkâ€ in front of Kral wedding palace.

Dunyamaliyev, Agalarov and Safiyev and a group of unidentified persons came to the place in several cars and disputed with Shahriyar Abbasov. Dunyamaliyev and Agalarov fired into the air from Winchester rifle and broke the windows of Kral wedding palace. Abbasovâ€™s student Valiyev Ramil Arif was knifed twice in the right thigh. After that they escaped.

A lot of witnesses were interrogated, necessary measures were taken and on June 8 decisions were passed to bring criminal charges against Dunyamaliyev, Agalarov and Safiyev, as they fled, they were declared wanted.

Necessary measures are being taken to determine the number of the persons, who committed the crime, to bring criminal charges against them.
