APA reports that the release of pardoned prisoners started this morning and the process ended in the afternoon.
The order on pardon signed by the President of Azerbaijan covered 90 prisoners. 70 people were freed from remained part of their imprisonment, the term of imprisonment for two was reduced by half, 10 people put under restraint were released from remained part of their restraint, two sentenced for correctional work were also released and six were freed from the pecuniary penalty.
Eynulla Fatullayev, Eldaniz Lahicov, Mushfig Madatov, Anar Namazov, Akif Maharramov are among the pardoned persons.
Azerbaijani President pardoned several foreign prisoners too.
