Heavy hail and shower damages houses and courtyard areas of Azerbaijanâ€™s Shamakhi region, cattle removed by flood

Region Executive Power told APAâ€™s Shirvan bureau that the hail of 3-4 sm diameters fell in the regionâ€™s Goylar, Dagh Baghirli, Gushchu, Mirikend, Chayli, Jarhan, Adnali and Melikchobanli villages. The hailing, which continued about 15 minutes, was replaced by heavy rain which continued till the morning today.

Local executive of Gushchu village Bashir Bahramov told APA that roofs of 10 houses, fruit groves, sowing areas were seriously damaged, 18 black and small cattle of 4 families were removed by flood.

Executive representative of Goylar village Ikhtiyar Khalilov said that the hail and shower seriously damaged villageâ€™s 60 courtyard areas and 20 houses including his agriculture. The flood removed 3 cows, the hail spoiled fruit and vegetable products, destroyed the cornfields.

Local executive of Dagh Baghirli village Baylar Karimov said that the hail and wind broke the roofs, windows of about 30 houses and villageâ€™s school, flooded the courtyards.

The representatives of regional emergency commission meet with the residents of disaster areas and learn their problems.
