Azerbaijani military engineers jointly with South African company elaborate special bullet for armored personnel carriers

The bullet, elaborated in MDIâ€™s enterprise, has 3 different version provided 20, 23 and 30 mm caliber guns. Depending on the order, these bullets will be set in modernized armored vehicles by MDI.

According to the minister, the new bullets have some features. If the existing armored personnel carrier and combat reconnaissance patrol vehicles can raise the gun at an angle of 45 degree, this indicator in new bullets is 90 degree. The gun can be turned to 360 degrees. Thus, the new guns will be able to open fire at the air targets.

Jamalov added that the weapon systems of armored personnel carrier and combat reconnaissance patrol vehicle, modernized in Baku Machinery Building Plant, are changed. The armored personnel carriers are provided with â€œShimshekâ€ fire control systems established by Azerbaijani engineers jointly with EWT Company. This system can detect, follow and fire at the targets at night, in the afternoon in any weather conditions.
