Spokesman for Prosecutor General’s Office Eldar Sultanov told APA that it was made public that criminal case had been launched on the officials of the medical center under Azerbaijan International University over the facts on illegal transplant of the human organs.
“Department for Investigation of Grave Crimes at the General Prosecutor’s Office is carrying out necessary investigations, but no one has been prosecuted criminally yet,” he said.

Chief of Ukrainian Interior Ministry’s Main Investigation Department Vasili Farinnik said the investigation of the “black transplant” case is about to be completed.
He said 25 were recognized as sufferers over the case of “black transplant”.
“The facts of surgeries have been confirmed by documents. The doctors can not escape, because donors gave testimonies against them. Six have been prosecuted over the fact, three of them are doctors. All have been arrested. The doctors face charges over illegal transplants and also over the establishment of organized criminal group. The head of the group is the citizen of Israel, who does not have medical education,” he said.

Vasili Farinnik said the doctors performed 15 out of 25 surgeries in Azerbaijan, the rest in Ecuador and Kosovo.
