12 believers detained up to now over unauthorized action outside Azerbaijani Education Ministry

The lawyer said that he could not get detailed information about those persons.
â€œOfficial statement has not been issued about it, thatâ€™s why, we do not have detailed information about the detainees. But as far as I know, the number of the detainees has reached 12,â€ he said.

65 persons, who attempted to hold an unauthorized action, violated public order and resisted to the police on May 6, were detained. Five of them faced charges on articles 221.2 and 221.3 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code. 38 of the detainees were released after having been warned. The materials gathered about 22 persons were submitted to the district courts. Baku prosecutorâ€™s office has launched criminal case on articles 221.2.1 (hooliganism by a group of persons) and 221.2.2 (showing resistance to government representative preventing the violation of public order) of the Criminal Code. Baku Main Police Office is carrying out the investigation.
