Allahshukur Pashazadeh: â€œThe establishment of only Muslim board in Georgia, pulling out of Muslims from Azerbaijan morally is not a religious issueâ€ - UPDATED

Baku. Parvin Abbasov - APA. â€œThe establishment of NGO named â€œGeorgian Muslims Boardâ€ in Georgia is not todayâ€™s issue. It is an issue which have been continuing for a long timeâ€, Chairman of Caucasus Muslims Board Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh told journalists. â€œThis issue has been continuing in Georgia since the adoption of new flag with 4 crosses. Every country has a right to adopt decision inside on any, as well as religious and the other issues. That is not the question. The question is that there is certain unilateral approach in it. If such board for the other religions had been established in Georgia, as well Armenia had such board, then one could say that the unilateral position was not shown on this issueâ€, he said.

Pashazadeh said that the establishment of only Muslim board in Georgia, pulling out of Muslims form Azerbaijan morally is not a religious issue.

CMB chairman said that there are future plans on the establishment of â€œGeorgian Muslims Boardâ€ in Georgia: â€œI believe that â€œGreat Armeniaâ€ plan stands for it. It is the first step of great political issue. The religious issue plays a curtain role on this step. We will have appeals about it in the future and will ask for not permitting such steps. It is very interested that some Azerbaijanis in Georgia are active, the Azerbaijanis who are in post make this step today. But one day thy will respond in front of their peoples. Our people were expelled from Armenia, and it is felt in Georgia too. I think that the intelligence must have a great role on it. If somebody thinks that the Caucasus Muslim Board must do something, it is wrong. I think that if there is 4 crosses on the flag of country which has 1 million Muslims, the Islamic flag must also be on the mosque as well as the other religious places. I think that if the country passes a general decision, we donâ€™t have a right to interfere to their internal affairs. Every country has its rights. The pulling out of peoplesâ€™ interest, peoplesâ€™ union, neighborhood limit, Azerbaijani people â€“ it will create relevant difficulties for us, Azerbaijanis, Azerbaijan. I hope that this issue will find its right solutionâ€.
