Hail seriously damages more than 1000 houses and hundred cars in Shamakhi

Shamakhi. Shahnazar Bashirov â€“ APA. Heavy hail falling stormed Shamakhi region of Azerbaijan last night, local officials told APAâ€™s Shirvan bureau. Hail-stones with diameter of 6-7 cm fell in the town of Shamakhi and 14 nearby villages seriously damaging the houses, cars and social facilities within 8-10 minutes. The heavy hail falling seriously damaged the agricultural fields, vineyards and fruit grves as well. It broke roof and windows of the houses. According to the preliminary reports, roofs of more than 1000 private houses, 110 public buildings, 12 social facilities were seriously damaged. The hail stones damages more than 100 cars and broke the glasses. Local residents suffered from the natural disaster inform the authorities about the damages.
There were no reports about the casualties among the people. The local emergency commission is investigating the situation. The Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Cabinet of Ministers were informed about the disaster.
