Baku. Viktoriya Dementieva – APA. More 8 Azerbaijani citizens will be evacuated from Libya tomorrow, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Libya Agasalim Shukurov told APA. He said that our compatriots will be sent to Istanbul by the Turkish Airlines plane and then to Baku. He said that 12 Azerbaijani citizens were evacuated from Libya yesterday by the plane of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry. There are 4 women and 4 children among the evacuated Azerbaijanis. 3 Azerbaijanis were evacuated from Libya by “Shlyumberzhe” company where they were working for, and one by BP Company.

Several Azerbaijani citizens, including four students have appealed today to the Azerbaijani embassy with a request to return home. “These persons have a passport problem, but we plan to send them to Istanbul by Turkish Airlines plane. There is a problem with the Azerbaijani citizens who have no consulate registration, but appealed to our embassy for help. According to the rules, any Azerbaijani citizen who comes to Libya must be registered in the consulate within 3 days. 8 Azerbaijani citizens who had not registered in the consulate appealed to our embassy and we were uninformed about them before. We are ready to make all necessary efforts in order to evacuate Azerbaijani citizens from Libya”.
