Baku – APA. Freezing temperatures in Poland have killed 200 people this winter, most of them homeless or under the influence of alcohol, APA reports quoting “The Voice of America”.
Officials said Wednesday that 29 people died in February alone, as temperatures dropped to an icy minus 20 degrees Celsius in some areas.
Police have asked the public to alert emergency services if they find people lying outdoors.
The cold spell started in November.
