Interior Ministry takes stance on Israeliâ€™s call for its citizens on avoidance of travels to Azerbaijan due to expected terror threat

He noted that today, operation condition and criminological situation was under total control in Azerbaijan. He once more declared that security of all embassies and diplomatic representations, as well as their accredited officials is being maintained and places where they live are kept under control: â€œThe Interior Ministry copes with everything in this directionâ€.

Note that, the Israel Counter Terrorism Bureau warned the citizens to avoid travels to 9 countries, including Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey, Venezuela, Egypt, CÃ´te dâ€™Ivoire, Mali and Mauritania. The warning is connected with the 3rd anniversary of the assassination of Hezbollah officials Imad Mughniyah and Abbas al-Masaw.

The Israel Counter Terrorism Bureau is subordinated to the National Security Council of Israel. The Bureau deals with analyzing the international activeness of the international organizations, political situation in various countries. As a result of these analyses, the citizens of Israel are recommended to travel or not to a particular country.

Remind that, on January 31, the US and UK also issued a warning over terrorist threats in Azerbaijan. But there was no comment on the nature of the threat or source of the information.
