APA reports that the court considered the complaint and Adnan Hajizadeh was released prematurely.

Hajizadeh’s lawyer Elton Guliyev told APA that each prisoner has right to appeal for premature release after some time of the punishment: “We have appealed to district court for premature release from the prison. But the court did not consider the pretension, so we filed appellate appeal. And today, the court has considered the complaint”.

Note that, Adnan Hajizadeh had appealed to Garadagh district court for premature release from the prison. As the court rejected he filed an appeal.

Remind that, bloggers Adnan Hajizadeh and Emin Milli were detained after the incident in Lebanese restaurant in Azerbaijan’s capital on July 8, 2009. They faced charges under articles 127.2.3 (deliberately inflicting less serious bodily harm) and 221.2.1 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code. On November 11, 2009, Sabail district court sentenced Emin Milli to two years and six months, Adnan Hajizadeh to two years in jail. They filed an appeal against the decision of the court of first instance. Baku Appeals Court upheld the decision of the court of first instance. They filed a cassation. The Supreme Court also upheld the decision of the previous instances.
