Person, who ran over famous Azerbaijani journalist Rafael Mustafayev, was son of prosecutor

Ismayil Ismayilovâ€™s father Behbud Ismayilov had worked in the Prosecutor Generalâ€™s Office for long years, he was dismissed by the order of Prosecutor General Zakir Garalov after the accident.The accident happened in Sharifzadeh street, 165 on November 14. Ismayil Ismayilov ran over pedestrians Rafael Mustafayev and Gasim Muradpur. The injured pedestrians asked the driver to take them to hospital. The driver first helped them get into the car, later he abandoned them in Z. Karimov street. Rafael Mustafayev died there, Gasim Muradpur was hospitalized.

Rafael Mustafayev was born in Baku in 1955. He graduated from Azerbaijan Oil Academy. He had worked in a number of local information agencies and collaborated with Russiaâ€™s Kommersant and Novie Izvestiya newspapers. He had been correspondent of Regnum information agency since 2004.

Rafael Mustafayev is the elder brother of Vahid Mustafayev, president of ANS Group of Companies.
