Baku – APA. A magnitude 5.6 earthquake struck the Dominican Republic early Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said, APA reports quoting CNN.
The quake struck 155 kilometers (95 miles) southeast of the nation’s capital, Santo Domingo, at about 12:35 a.m. Saturday (11:35 p.m. Friday ET).
People at resorts in the area described the earthquake as brief, and there were no reports of significant damage.
