Chairman of the Judicial Legal Council, Justice Minister Fikrat Mammadov and Prosecutor General Zakir Garalov are also attending the meeting. Making a keynote speech at the plenary meeting chairman of the Supreme Court Ramiz Rzayev spoke about the judicial reforms carried out in the country. Ramiz Rzayev noted that as a result of the judicial reforms there is a need to improve the judicial activity.
Following this, agenda of the plenary meeting was declared. Newly-appointed judges’ oath has also been included into the agenda.
The judgment of the European Court of Human Rights with respect to imprisoned journalist Eynulla Fatullayev will be considered at the plenary meeting.
