Main State Traffic Police Department of the Republic of Azerbaijan addresses drivers on vehicle inspection

State vehicle inspection is held every year from January 1 till October 31 in the Republic. Owners of vehicles, as well as authorized persons must present their vehicles to state vehicular inspection not later than a month defined in the Calibration Sticker of 2009. Vehicles may be given to state vehicle inspection before the determined period as well.

Owner of vehicle or confidant must present vehicle for vehicular inspection to State Traffic Police with the documents shown below:

1) Driving license
2) Registration certificate of a vehicle
3) Certificate on compulsory insurance of vehicle owners in the Republic of Azerbaijan
4) Receipts of tax payments in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan

Vehicle owners registered in Baku and Absheron peninsula must present their vehicles to Inspection Center of the Interior Ministryâ€™s Main Traffic Police Office in Khirdalan-Binagadi highway-4 or to Inspection Center located in Sabunchu district Mashtaga motor road functioning in Automobile Industry of Supply Department.

The mentioned Inspection Centers are open every day (including Saturday and Sunday) from 09.00 till 20.00.

The Main State Traffic Police Department of the Republic asks drivers to present their vehicles to vehicular inspection in time and in good situation. Owners of vehicles who have not passed the vehicle inspection in the fixed period will be brought to responsibility by administrative means.

Head of Public Relations Department of Main State Traffic Police Department of the Republic Kamran Aliyev told APA that vehicles owners who have not passed the vehicle inspection from January 1 till October 31 would pay a fine in accordance with the law. Only after it the vehicles will be given to vehicular inspection.

According to Kamran Aliyev, physical entities will be fined 30 AZN, but legal entitiesâ€™ fine is 40-70 AZN.
