According to him, the number of drug users, persons registered in the dispensary, number of criminal acts, the volume of the drugs smuggled to the country is more in the southern region compared with the other regions.
“Unfortunately, there is an opinion in the society: only the law-enforcement bodies should deal with this problem,†he said.
Ali Hasanov said it is not only the work of the law-enforcement bodies, in other countries all bodies and the society deal with this problem.
“Alongside with the law-enforcement bodies the Azerbaijani society should help solve this problem. The nongovernmental organizations related to the youth and children, media and religious organizations should act together in combating “white deathâ€,†he said.
