U.S. ambassador meets American students at Azerbaijan University of Languages

Baku. Anakhanum Idoyatova – APA. U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan Richard Morningstar has met American students who study the Azerbaijani language at Azerbaijan University of Languages.

In his speech, Head of AUL, MP Samad Seyidov said this program helps American students improve their Azerbaijani, and at the same time, allows them to get acquainted with our country much better.

He also noted that a more modern American center will open under the university following a renovation process in September. The rector, touching upon bilateral relations, said that the U.S. and Azerbaijan share common interests in the areas of energy, geopolitics, democracy, etc.

Mr Morningstar emphasized the importance of such programs in terms of expanding bilateral relations. The diplomat said Azerbaijan is a close partner of the U.S., and programs of this kind will help the two countries better understand each other in future.
