The Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline will be completed this year, and Azerbaijani gas will be delivered to Europe through Turkey, said Prime Minister of Turkey Binali Yildirim.

He made the remarks Thursday at the 6th Global Baku Forum titled “Bridging Gaps to Create Inclusive Societies,” APA reports.

Yıldırım said that Turkey is at the crossroads of religions and cultures.

"At present we live in a world where countries are increasingly dependent on each other. Only together can we ensure well-being,” he said.

“As noted by the President of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia are implementing important projects in the Caucasus. The Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway will connect Asia and Europe. This year the TANAP project will be completed and the Azerbaijani gas will be delivered to the Balkans and Europe via Turkey. This is an important project for energy supply to countries,” the Turkish prime minister added.

The Turkish PM also spoke about the activities of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center.

"In 2012 Azerbaijan created the Nizami Ganjavi International Center in order to promote dialogue and has managed to bring together more than 100 heads of state and government in a short period,” he said.

Speaking about Nizami Ganjavi's creative activity, Yildirim quoted Nizami Ganjavi as saying that the key to solving all problems in the world rests with scientists.

"In this respect, the Nizami Ganjavi International Center has turned into an influential international platform where actual problems of the world are discussed. Every issue has to do with the human factor. We need stability and peace for future generations. To this end, economic obstacles should be broken through. Unfortunately, the realities do not encourage optimism in this regard. Great efforts should be made to eliminate these economic obstacles. The development of modern technology, artificial intelligence, and rapid change in business areas are all positive factors. But there is a need for regional and global co-operation to make it beneficial for all countries. It is not beneficial for overall development when a country lags behind and another develops,” he added.
