He said that the economy and transportation infrastructure of Azerbaijan had significantly developed. Stanislav Chernyavsky said Azerbaijan is distinguished by the systematic policy producing positive results.
Commenting on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, Stanislav Chernyavsky said that despite all attempts peaceful resolution of the conflict has failed: “This situation is forcing Azerbaijan to spend a great deal of financial means to improve the conditions of hundreds of thousands of IDPs and increase military spending. All of these funds could have been spent on the welfare of not only Azerbaijan, but also its neighbors. If an agreement was signed with Armenia, Armenia would benefit from an economic point of view. The unsolved conflict remains a bleeding wound in the minds of the people.”
According to Stanislav Chernyavsky, the best way out of this situation is the implementation of agreements already reached within framework of the Madrid Principles: “Wisely assessing the process, the leadership of Azerbaijan prevented the continuation of the conflict. I have to say that Russia doesn’t fully estimate the successes of Azerbaijan’s diplomacy. If Moscow intended to restore and improve the relations with Georgia, it would be enough to ask Azerbaijan for help, because this country has a great influence in Georgia.”
