Baku. Shahriyar Alizadeh – APA. Being on a visit to Azerbaijan, Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjørn Jagland met with Justice Minister Fikrat Mammadov.
The Defense Ministry’s press service told APA that the Justice Minister underlined the close cooperation with the Council of Europe and the importance of the Action Plan jointly adopted for the years 2014-2016 and emphasized that it will give an impetus to the bilateral relations.
Jagland stressed the constructive cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Council of Europe and approved the reforms in the judicial system.
During the meeting the sides exchanged views on the issues of mutual interest.
