Baku – APA. President of the Swiss Confederation Didier Burkhalter has sent a letter of congratulations to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on 28 May - Republic Day, APA reports.
The letter says: “On my own behalf and on behalf of the Swiss Federal Council, I cordially congratulate You, wish You robust health and successes in your activities for the welfare of the country on the occasion of the national holiday of Azerbaijan – the Republic Day. I want to reaffirm that Switzerland is interested in the further development of friendly relations with Azerbaijan in political, economic and cultural spheres. As the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and President of the Confederation, I look forward to my visit to Azerbaijan on June 2, 2012 and our meeting that will further strengthen and deepen the friendly relations between our countries.”
Pope Francis has also sent a letter of congratulations to President of Azerbaijan on 28 May - Republic Day.
“I sincerely congratulate You and your people on the occasion of the national holiday of Azerbaijan – the Republic Day. I wish peace, prosperity and good life to your people. I wish you, the country's political leadership and the people lots of blessings,” says the letter.
