The Nagorno-Karabakh issue is a bleeding wound for Azerbaijan, said Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim.

He made the remarks on Thursday at the 6th Global Baku Forum titled “Bridging Gaps to Create Inclusive Societies”, APA reports.

The Turkish PM urged an end to double standards.

“The Nagorno-Karabakh is a bleeding wound for Azerbaijan. Twenty percent territory of Azerbaijan were occupied, more than one million people became refugees and IDPs. Despite the relevant resolutions of the UN Security Council and similar decisions of other international organizations, the conflict remains unresolved. I believe that sooner of later, justice will prevail,” Yildirim said.

The Turkish PM also touched upon the Syrian crisis.

“Turkey is the host of more than 3 million Syrian refugees, but the world fails to eliminate this crisis,” he noted.

In the end, Yildirim expressed Turkey’s desire to host one of the meetings of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center.
