He mentioned that Azerbaijan has different history than many other partner countries and has pledged to integrate to Europe.
Answering the question about not so high amount of German investments to Azerbaijan S. Lesch said that Ministry cannot force businessmen to invest somewhere: "They are looking for available, good and close markets with suitable conditions. Legal aspects and transport infrastructure are important as well."
During the meeting he also touched upon the work of press service of the Ministry. He said that staff of the service was collecting interesting information from news media and then present it to the minister and the staff of the ministry: "We have officials responsible for the cooperation with the South Caucasus who follow the situation in the region. Our job as press division is to inform them of articles related to their work. This is, however, not the only source of information - among others, we have close contact to the German Embassy in Baku that represents the Federal Government."
