“We started supplying gas to Germany this year,” President Ilham Aliyev said at a joint press conference with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, APA's correspondent dispatched to Berlin reports.
The head of state noted that a 10-year agreement has been signed with German companies, with an annual volume of 1.5 billion cubic meters.
“Of course, this volume can be increased. One of the main problems is financing. European banks have stopped providing financial support for oil and gas projects due to the green agenda. It would be better if European banks reconsidered their decisions,” the President said.
The head of state also noted that Azerbaijan is capable of supplying the required volume of oil.
