Baku. Anakhanum Idoyatova – APA. Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic Lubomír Zaorálek.
At a press conference held after the meeting, Elmar Mammadyarov said they exchanged views on the issues of cooperation during the private and expanded meetings.
The Minister said he informed his counterpart about the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict: “220 Azerbaijani students are currently receiving education in the Czech Republic. We decided to increase the number”.
The issue of visa abolition was also discussed during the meeting. The sides exchanged views on ideas on lifting visa-related barriers during travels and official visits.
The ministers also held discussions on the involvement of Czech companies in Azerbaijan’s transport projects.
The Czech FM remarked that there are ideal conditions in the Czech Republic for Azerbaijani investors: “Czech companies want to be involved in the TANAP project. Also, there are some companies that are interested in operating in energy field. At the same time, Czech companies show great interest in transport and infrastructure projects.
The Minister said Azerbaijan is an overwhelmingly important country for Azerbaijan.
