Azerbaijani President receives Russian Defense Minister - <span style="color: red;">PHOTO

The head of state emphasized that bilateral relations between the two countries are developing successfully and dynamically, recalling his recent meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Astrakhan and Minsk with high contentment. The president added that high level meetings take place on a continuous basis.

President Ilham Aliyev remarked that relations between the two countries in the political and economic spheres are successfully growing, stressing the importance of cooperation in the military and military-technical spheres in terms of the expansion of bilateral relations. The head of state noted the visit of the delegation led by S.Shoigu to our country will pave the way for the discussion of prospects of bilateral cooperation in the military and military-technical spheres, expressing his confidence that the visit would prove productive.

Extending his gratitude to the Azerbaijani president for his pleasing words about the development of bilateral relations, Sergei Shoigu remarked the importance of the high level meetings which took place in Astrakhan and Minsk and spoke of the importance of the decisions made on cooperation in the Caspian Sea. Noting military cooperation in the Caspian basin is successfully developing, the minister said he believes today’s meeting will largely contribute to the further expansion of relations between Azerbaijan and Russian in future.
