The Head of State said the essence of our partnership is indeed expanding and covers many areas - political, economic, investment, cultural and etc: “So I’m sure that in the coming years we will continue partnership that have rapidly developed in recent years. Today we discussed the good prospects for expanding our ties, particularly in the fields of mutual investment and joint ventures, including energy cooperation that have already started and will be very fruitful in the future. We hope your visit to the region will be very productive and contribute to developing positive trends in the region and the process of resolving the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict”, said President Aliyev.
The Swiss President said that it is his first visit to Azerbaijan: “I had a little time to have a comprehensive look at your country. I’m sure that we will visit again and have more time to familiarize with your country, Baku city more closely. I’m grateful for your reception. This is a special time for the two countries. First of all, we have very good friendly relations and we can intensify it. I’m confident that we have broad potential for private investment. Swiss companies are interested in investing in your country”, he said.

Baku – APA. Following the one-on-one meeting, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Swiss Confederation Didier Burkhalter held an expanded meeting involving the two countries’ delegations, APA reports.
