Baku – APA. “We held very fine discussions on our plans and the works implemented. Relations with the EU is a priority for us. I am very glad that these relations are developing successfully. With your help, we managed to go forward rapidly”, said President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev during an extended meeting with Chairman of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso, APA reports.
Mr Aliyev said the relations between Azerbaijan and the EU covers the politicial, economical, energy, security, etc. areas: “We, as a good partners, are working very actively. We had previously held meetings in Baku, Brussels, and other places as well. I’m very pleased with the level of our cooperation. I’m hoping that after your visit, this cooperation will expand even further, cover even more areas and develop”.
