Elman Abdullayev, Head of Press Service of the Foreign Ministry, wrote this on his Twitter page in response to U.S. Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group James Warlick’s statement--“We are seriously concerned about the recent upsurge in violence along the line of contact, APA reports.
Elman Abdullayev said Azerbaijan needs a fair mediation: “Facts are well known. Why are the co-chairs so reluctant? What are Armenian troops doing on our soil?! Shouldn’t they be in Armenia? If the co-chairs really care about peace and progress, then why aren’t we there already?”
U.S. Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group James Warlick had earlier written on his Twitter page that he is seriously concerned about escalating violence along the line of contact, stressing that the ceasefire needs to be respected.
