Azerbaijani deputy FM receives US State Department representative

Baku – APA. Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Khalaf Khalafov Senior Advisor on Energy Resources of the U.S. Department of State Daniel Stein.

According to press service of the Foreign Ministry, K. Khalafov gave information to the guest about the energy projects carried out in the region.

Stressing that Azerbaijan always attaches important to the development of regional ties, K. Khalafov said that multilateral and bilateral dialogues in this direction are developed.

Khalafov also spoke about importance of strengthening and development of the cooperation in the Caspian Sea and support of the partners. He also drew attention to significance of protection of security and stability in the region for development of links with neighbor countries.

Informing about Nagorno Karabakh conflict and its results, the deputy minister noted that Armenia’s non-constructive position does not allow settlement of the conflict and international community should demonstrate principal position in this position.

They also discussed other issues of mutual interests.
