The West recommends Armenia not to leave Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Hraparak wrote citing its sources, APA reports.

According to the publication, Armenia-Russia relations have entered the stage of tension again: "At first, the lower class of the government blamed the Russian Federation and Russian peacekeepers regarding the situation on the Lachin road. Then, the Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan talked about the pressures, and yesterday Pashinyan announced in this regard at the meeting of the government: "If the Russian Federation cannot ensure stability and security in Karabakh due to objective or subjective reasons, it should raise the issue of giving a UN mandate to the peacekeeping forces in Karabakh or sending an additional multinational military force at the UN Security Council".

The publication recalls that in both cases,  the Russian side did not delay its response to these statements: "If an agreement is reached between the two parties of the conflict, international peacekeepers may be involved. We are talking not only about Armenia but also about Azerbaijan," said the Kremlin's spokesperson Peskov.

Hraparak states that political circles in Armenia are worried about the tension because such a situation existed before the war of 2020. The publication claims citing some government sources that even Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan gave an ultimatum and said to Russian President Putin to open the road to Lachin, otherwise, Armenia will leave the CSTO and the Eurasian Economic Union.

“However, our sources say that Pashinyan admitted that French President Macron warned him regarding not leaving CSTO because they can’t shoulder the role of provider of Armenia at the meeting with ambassadors in Jermuk the last week,” says the publication.
