The 1st International Security Forum has been held in the Moscow Region of the Russian Federation, the Security Council of Azerbaijan told APA.
A delegation led by the Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Ramil Usubov, participated in the event.
Within the framework of the three-day forum, attended by representatives from 145 countries, 14 international organizations, and 4,500 delegates, various thematic scientific and practical conferences, roundtable discussions, briefings, presentations, and exhibitions dedicated to security issues were organized.
The head of the Azerbaijani delegation addressed the 14th International Meeting of High Representatives Responsible for Security Issues, considered the main event of the forum, and dedicated to the topic “Challenges and Threats to International Security in the Context of the Formation of a Multipolar World Order.”
The speech highlighted the negative impact of rapidly increasing new challenges and threats on international security and stability amid the complex processes taking place around the world today, and emphasized the importance of strengthening the joint efforts of the international community in this regard.
Ramil Usubov spoke about Azerbaijan’s contributions to the formation and strengthening of a sustainable security environment in the region and globally, as well as to the development of sustainable international cooperation on an equal basis, under the direct leadership and tireless efforts of President Ilham Aliyev.
During bilateral and multilateral meetings attended by the delegation, views were exchanged on strengthening ties in the field of security, prospects for cooperation, and other issues of mutual interest.
