On November 16 of this year, an official reception and concert program dedicated to Victory, State Flag, Constitution, and National Revival Days was organized in Bern, the capital of Switzerland, said the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Swiss Confederation, APA reports.
Ambassador Fuad Iskenderov welcomed the guests at the official opening of the event, gave detailed information about the historical significance of these holidays of the Republic of Azerbaijan, talked about the restoration and reconstruction works carried out in the liberated territories in the post-Victory period, and paid attention to the progress of peace negotiations.
The guests were informed that Azerbaijan's commitment to the peace and reconstruction processes helps the South Caucasus' peaceful and safe development, turning the region into a place connecting Europe and Asia with strong wires.
The event continued with a concert program after the official opening part.
At the beginning of the program, a dance group consisting of sisters Elnura and Amina Safarova, Ukrainian citizens of Azerbaijani descent, who temporarily settled in Switzerland as refugees, performed national dance samples of Azerbaijan.
The program continued with the performance of the "Trio Areal" trio, led by Jamila Garayusifli, an Azerbaijani violinist who studied at the Master's level of the Zurich Higher School of Arts, and composed of Swiss musicians, and classical works of world-famous Azerbaijani and foreign composers were performed.
The event was attended by Swiss high-ranking officials, including Erwin Bollinger, the co-chairman of the Azerbaijan-Swiss Intergovernmental Economic Commission from Switzerland, Anna Ifkovich,Under Secretary of State of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Switzerland, representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora, Swiss public, and press representatives.
The speeches, concert program, and official reception were highly welcomed by hundreds of participants and spectators and created a great resonance in Swiss society.
At the end of the event, a banquet was organized for the guests.
