9 memorandums to be signed at ECO summit in Tehran

Baku. Victoria Dementyevaâ€“APA. Nine memorandums of understanding will be signed at the summit of Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) in Tehran on March 11, APA reports quoting Tehran Times.
At a press conference in Tehran on Sunday, ECO Secretary General Khurshid Anwar said that MOUs for facilitating multilateral trade and transit, boosting ECO membersâ€™ ties with the Islamic Development Bank, and elevating standards of ECO products will be signed.

The current activities and future plans of the organization will be discussed at the Tehran summit and ECO Prizes will be awarded to nine prominent scholars from member states, he explained.

The presidents of ECO member states Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Pakistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan plus the heads of state of Iraq and Qatar will hold bilateral meetings within the ECO Tehran summit to explore ways to expand their relations.

The Economic Cooperation Organization is an intergovernmental international organization involving ten Asian nations, including Azerbaijan.
