Members of Norwayâ€™s Security Policy Commission to arrive in Azerbaijan tomorrow

Baku. Lachin Sultanova â€“ APA. Members of the Security Policy Commission of Norwegian government will arrive in Baku tomorrow. Embassy of Norway in Azerbaijan told APA that the members of the commission will stay in Baku till March 11.

Thomas Colin Archer-led delegation composed of the representatives of Security Policy Commission and the Foreign Ministry secretariat will be received by President Ilham Aliyev and have meetings in the Foreign Ministry, parliament and SOCAR. They will also meet with the students of the University of Languages leaning the Norwegian language, as well as with the scholars.
The delegation will be in Tbilisi on March 11-13.

The commission was established as a public council, which gives recommendation to the Norwayâ€™s Government on security issues. The members of the commission visit different regions of the world every year. Well-known political figures, including former energy minister, former deputy foreign minister, former parliamentarians and representatives of the non-governmental organizations are involved in the 15-member commission. The embassy said the commission was able to form public opinion on the security issues in Norway.
